The K3 is an improvement of the K2000 Kit from Kreg. However, one complaint many owners have noticed is that the K3 benchtop does not hold on as strong as the K2000 did.
When asked about this, the people from Kreg admit to this issue. However, they say that the issue is being caused by a spring that was put into the K3. This spring allows for easier adjustment of the clamp.
The issue though is only ever reported by people who have used the k2000.
